Mind Your Business

0. unfortunately, not a lot of people even know what their business is!
1. Julia is my personal “business”  and I must make sure that business is healthy and profitable.
2. We live in a generation in which almost everyone is analysing everyone else’s condition and conviction even when their own business is unattended.
3. We want to get on blogs and read the latest gossip, argue the recent issues and mind every other business. Whereas, if our secret or personal lives are played on the screens, we most likely would be the bad news that gossip blogs crave!
4. We seriously need focus. The deliberate turning of our attention to what matters most to us.
5. What is going on in my own relationship?
6. Am I as in touch and connected with my partner as I am with my social media followers?
7. In the long run, who do I really have, you or Julia? You know the truth and the truth is that while I am called to you, she is my life. Without my life, what is my call?
8. Minding my business means taking the subject of my partner’s happiness and making it the priority of my choices and conduct.
9. Minding my business means that I am aware that it takes seed to get harvest, effort to get result and investment to get profit.
10. I need to spend time critically thinking and examining how I can be a better partner.
11. I need to review my performance through specific periods and make relevant adjustments.
12. I need to understand that my partner’s complains about me aren’t meant to meet the stiff wall of my prideful resistence but a considerate response that humbly consider their point and reflect on how to be different.
13. I need to accept that my partner is imperfect and would require my patience and understanding as we navigate through life.
14. I need to always be willing to learn new ways to make it work like taking refresher course and updating my “relational software”. Yes.
15. Above all, I need to stay humble in prayer, receiving grace to be the best man for her.
16. She is where I should succeed first before I succeed everywhere else.

How Contentment can increase mental well-being.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

I will define contentment as a feeling of self satisfaction. God does not love us equally rather, He loves us personally, uniquely and adequately.

Our needs and desires are different, it will be unhealthy to judge our satisfaction based on others accomplishments.

Think about a child who is in search for five stones to build a house, when he got the first stone, he was happy and ventured for the second one with enthusiasm. When he got the second stone, he threw a party for his friends.

Contentment will make the journey of life fun and easy. It not that you settled for less rather you appreciate what you have now. If only we can pause a bit to look at how far we have gone then we realised how ungrateful we’ve being to ourselves.

Accepting your current position will give you good knowledge of what you need to get to the desired position. Paul said that he has learnt the secret on content. This is the secret: He who is not contented with one can’t be content with many. Because lack of content leads to greed.

Today, write out the things you are grateful for.

Don’t worry but be concern.

Dear Parents…

Please stop worrying about us..

You can show concern but don’t show that you are worried about us. Worry tells us that you don’t trust us, you don’t believe in us or you are scared about us and any of these things can bring an inner conflict between us.

There is a big difference in showing concern and showing worry.

* Concern has love while worry has fear.
*Concern has a goal while worry has confusion

*Concern is healthy, it doesn’t get you depressed nor doubtful but the unhealthiness of worry makes you sad.

* When you show concern, the happiness of ur child is the priority but worry makes you to think about what your friends will say to you about it. (Self centered)

To know if you are concerned or worried, ask yourself why are you doing this?

Is it because of your child happiness?

Is it because you are scared (worry)

Because of what people will say? (worried)

Even the Bible said it, Do not be worried about anything

Let me stop here ma and sir…

Please send to all parents…

You mean so much to me.
